This page reflects the various forms of media we as a production company have produced so far to promote both ourselves and the work we create. This is in the form of posters, flyers etc.
We have also created social media and video sharing websites in conjunction with High Violet Productions. This is in an attempt to parade our promotional material around the internet as much as possible while getting as many people as we can aware of the productions company. See a detailed list below.

each is rather simplistic in its information. We felt that as our Yola website displays everything audiences need to know about the production team, it was best to send them to hear directly. As the images are rather vague about what they are promoting at a later stage we will add a short few words to entice viewers in to finding out more about us through either Yola or our social media websites.

These three images reflect various designs of possible banners for High Violet Productions. They were originally designed to go in to the home page of our website but as our original template did not have a designated banner space. They will be used for cover photos on the group’s facebook as well as general promotion in the near future.

These are two prototype logos for High Violet Productions which will feature over the Yola website as well as the social media sites to give a sense of continuity.

A very big part of the group’s promotion is down to the creation of the High Violet Productions facebook page. Large portions of our target audience are regular users of the social media and so it is a great way of keeping a very large spectrum of people constantly updated on the various moves made by the group. Having a facebook for the group also works very well as it acts a bridge into all the websites High Violet Productions is involved with.

The following animation is the first draft of the group’s introduction logo. This will be seen at the being of every piece moving footage made by the group. The animation was produced on After Effects and created by Toby Shepard who had been commissioned the task by the group. |

The group unanimously decided to create a Youtube account so as to display on a wide scale any visual medium created be it trailers, promotions videos etc. Such a site works nicely alongside the group’s social media websites as advertisement and promotion for the visuals uploaded is easy and effective. | ![]() |
A number of new possible logos have created for High Violet Productions. A short number of these will feature on the group social networks. These a logos will possibly pay influence to the new introduction logo.

Above is the finalised logo designed for 'High Violet Productions'. Here I played around with my original idea to use a light trail for the wording of the design. I then came up with the idea to base it upon the design of the typography from the 'Vice City' off of Rockstar's computer game 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City'. Researching this idea, i downloaded a free typography based on 'Vice City' called 'Rage Italic' (follow the link to download http://fontzone.net/font-details/Rage+Italic/). Placing it into Adobe Photoshop, i played around with the shadows, adding a drop shadow and other shadowy features, until it looked like this. Adding a violet colour to the shadow, in order to match our production name, the design would now converge in order to make sense to our audiences. In order for for 'High Violet' to stand out more than 'Productions' in the design, i decided to make 'productions' a bit smaller and place it comfortably after the swoop of the 'g'. As well as this, i edited the settings of the shadow and adding a gradient fill inside the lettering, here hopefully 'High Violet' would be more obvious to our viewers. Finishing it off, a slight tilt was added to make it a touch more attractive. Saving it as a png file, and allowing it to have a transparent background, I made sure it was able to stand out on our white backgrounded website.

Favicon A favicon is that little picture (usually a logo) or as we have done; an abbreviated logo that sits next to your browsers tab. It just gives your site that little bit of an extra look, but makes it look much more professional. To make our favicon I used Photoshop to take the 'H' and the 'V' from the original logo and compressed them into a very small 60x60 sized image. I then used this piece of software 'Favicon Maker' to convert the file into a .ico that would be most compatable with web. I than inserted the html code '<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/favicon.ico">' into the page header. This should ensure that the favicon will work on all browsers. |
Merchandise
Here we have used our production logo to create t-shirt designs for part of merchandising as an effective way of marketing. With our production company part of two productions in the new year, filming in the public with these t-shirts, will identify us as a film crew and hopefully gradually give us recognition.

Here i have placed them on both a black t-shirt and a white t-shirt, for audiences preference. |
Below is the second logo design. Here, with the logo designed on a black background we thought would work well on a black t-shirt.

Above is the third t-shirt design, for those that like to have carry a pocket round with them on their chest. Here the 'HV' is placed on the pocket and on the back at the bottom is the whole 'High Violet Productions' logo. Here we have used the logo twice, to allow us more recognition.
Back home I am in contact and in business with a man (Steven Crane) whom owns his own clothing company and therefore owns a large range of clothing printing gear. With this contact we will be able to create and print a load of different designs on different sized t-shirts for a cheaper price than it would be from other clothing printing businesses.

Webisodes
As a major part of the promotion for our group’s documentary we have and will continue to create small webisodes which act as teasers for our film.
The webisodes will appear all over the groups WIX, facebook and twitter as well as ideally feature on the likes of 4OD and Youtube adverts.
The following is an example of the type of webisodes, which will be used to promote the film.
We gained heavy influence for the idea of creating interactive short features to promote our documentary in a clickable interactive way from such campaigns as SONOS Wireless HI FI system.
Such material features three different adverts within the same campaign juxtaposed against each other and when it was released it gave the viewer the choice to interact by choosing which one they wished to watch.
The other key inspiration for the webisodes came directly from a video which was released on Youtube in July 2010 entitled: Interactive Zombie Movie Adventure- Real Zombies Attack. The piece acts as an interactive short film giving the viewer the option to decide the outcome of certain situations which have a 50/50 chance of ending badly or well.
